Hi. I’m Emily. It’s Great to Meet you!
As a therapist, I am passionate about helping people find balance. I look to create an honest, empowering therapeutic space where people can be—or discover—their authentic selves.
In my own life, I like to stay busy, and I’ve never been particularly good at fitting my interests into a box.
I love being outdoors, whether I’m hiking, backpacking, or rock collecting. But I’m equally happy settling into the quiet comfort of crafting, diving into Game of Thrones lore, or watching 90 Day Fiancé. My ultimate goal? Visit every national park in the U.S.
These days, I’m attempting to balance new adventures with the daily routines that come with raising two energetic kids. And when I get a quiet moment, you’ll probably find me working on a fancy paint-by-numbers project. I’ve collected more than I can fit on my walls.
Why I Love Working With ADHD, ASD, and AuDHD
I value helping people navigate the space between needing predictability and craving novelty. I also prioritize honesty, direct communication, and transparency in therapy. You shouldn’t have to spend your therapy session wondering what your therapist is really thinking.
For the past decade, I’ve focused on working with neurodivergent individuals. And even after all that time, I continue to learn as much from my clients as I hope they learn from me.
My goal is to create a zero-judgment space where hyperfixations are celebrated, sensory needs are respected, and you don’t have to over-explain yourself.
You can simply be yourself.
What Makes Me Credible
- I’m an LPCC-S with 15 years of experience in the mental health field, including the past decade specializing in working with people with ASD, ADHD, and AuDHD, alongside co-occurring diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma.
- I’m trained in CBT, DBT, MI, solution-focused strategies, and TF-CBT, with extensive experience providing clinical trainings on CBT applications.
- I have experience as a national and local speaker on topics including adapting evidence-based therapy for neurodivergent individuals, improving supports for autistic individuals experiencing suicidality, and helping organizations create more accepting and accommodating environments for neurodivergent employees and patrons.
- I’m a long-term member of the national Autism and Suicide Prevention Workgroup, helping develop resources for autistic individuals, caregivers, and crisis providers that have been implemented by 988 and featured in the Los Angeles Times.
- I’m also the parent of two young, rambunctious kids who have taught me more about relationships and regulating emotions than I ever learned in school.
Let’s Work Together
You’ve probably spent enough time trying to fit yourself into environments that weren’t designed with your brain in mind.
Therapy can help you understand yourself differently.
Let’s work together to unmask, explore your passions, and navigate the world on your own terms.
